After watching the Bruins game last night, I agree with docilej in the other post: "there's no Whaler DNA in that bastard son called the Carolina
Hurricanes." If there was any shred of green blood left in that team, it dried up when Wesley left Raleigh for Toronto in 2003. When he went back to
Raleigh, he had already cut the ties. There is nothing about that team that has any connection to the Whalers anymore. I only wish the records and stats were
left in Hartford.
I have to modify my opinion that no true Whalers fan can ever root for the Bruins, Rangers, or Hurricanes...as I found myself pullin for the Bruins last night, but only because they were the lesser of two evils and I was wishing the Canes to lose. So you can root for one of those teams in a certain situation, but you cannot be a fan...assuming you're a true Whalers fan.
